OMJRA RABBINIC ORDINATION TRANSFER

Ordination Transfer is open to all who meet the following qualifications:

  1. Belief in, and confession of faith in the L-rd Yeshua's Deity and Messiahship.
  2. Is either Jewish by birth; (The OMJRA recognizes Maternal or Paternal blood lines)
    1. Formally converted to Messianic Judaism according to an acceptable groups messianic halacha.
      1. It is assumed a rabbi is Jewish
        1. Therefore, rabbi must be circumcised.
          1. In fact, for similar reasons Paul circumcised Timothy
            1. Acts 16:1-3 states "Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek: Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium. Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek."
          2. The OMJRA will assist individuals interested in receiving a halachaic conversion.
  3. Agree with our Statement of Faith.
  4. A married man of at least 30 years of age.
    1. This requirement is for the protection of the OMJRA and member Rabbis
      1. Ministerial Counseling
        1. Often requires counseling women and children.
          1. A female perspective is imperative in these counseling situations
  5. The candidate must be Torah Observant in word and deed
    1. Must also believe that there is one law for followers of the God of Israel.
      1. Ex 12:49 "One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you."
      2. Nu 15:29 "Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them."
  6. Share the a complete messianic vision of inclusion
    1. Of the nations, Israel, and Judah as one people
      1. Serving the one true God
        1. Zec 14:7-9 states "But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one."
